My wife, Nicole, and I started this blog for several reasons. I think first and foremost we are pepper heads that happen to be addicted to barbecue. I don’t mean burgers and hot dogs on the grill, I am talking about that slow cooked smoky goodness only real barbecue can provide. I have some great cooking methods that I have learned over the years along with some great recipes. I hope to share them with you through this blog.
As for the peppers. we would not be able to grow the many varities that we so love without the help of my lovely daughter, Jessica. We all love raw peppers, roasted peppers, hot sauce, and salsa, anything spicy. As many ways as Forest Gump loved shrimp, we love our peppers. I have been making my own hot sauces for the past few months. I hope to share the recipes with you as some of them are quite good. I think I may have some great recipes in the future, and I will share them as well. You would be surprised at how easy it is to make your own hot sauce if you don’t already know how. Jessica wants to have a review portion in this blog and we are currently working on that and it should be up and running soon. We would like to have our first hot sauce review posted before the end of May 2014.
We have been tinkering around with growing our own peppers indoors and out. I think this blog will be a great tool for us in our learning process. We will document our successes along with our failures. I hope we can help you avoid the problems we run into and maybe even get some helpful advice from those of you who comment. We hope to be able to provide everyone reading with your own special perfect burn.
