Life Happens… Update 2

Just a quick but sad post.  We lost our dog, Frankie, last week.  She had lost the use of her back legs and was pain all the time.  We did our best to help her.  It was her time, we gave her a lot of happy years.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss! The same thing happened to our old dog, Russell. I know it’s very hard, and I’m sure you did the best you could and that you gave her a very good life! Peace to you!

  2. I am so sorry to hear that. We had the same thing happen to us a couple of years ago. She was my favorite dog. We kept praying that she would just not wak up but finally we had to have the vet come out and send her off. I was devastated after having had her for 22 years (she was a samoyed/german shepherd mix. We saved her collar and a clipping of her hair. My prayers are with you. Losing a pet is almost as hard as losing a family member.

  3. Aww darn. Even though you know it is inevitable, it hurts deeply to lose your furkid. Our dog is 11 with spinal arthritis from having her back fractured as a pup as an abused dog. We rescued her and she’s starting to show signs of slowing down. We keep her medicated with Tramadol (a great pain reliever for dogs!) as needed when she has trouble getting up. I know your life will be empty and sad for awhile, but I hope you can find a new rescue dog some day to fill that gap.
